Job Title: GENERAL DIRECTOR
Work Location: Hanoi or Ho Chi Minh City
1 Primary job objectives:
- Oversee all operations and areas of the company through supervision of all directors and managers.
- Develop (in conjunction with the managers of the company) plans for the growth and development of the company and the expansion or improvement of company facilities.
- Monitor and develop the annual budget for approval by the Board of Management. Develop the Three-Year Business Plan, with annual updates for review with the Board of Management.
- Develop, monitor, approve and implement policies and procedures appropriate to the operations of the company.
- Maintain relationships with financial institutions/ authorities in conjunction with the Chief Accountant and/or Financial Controller. Invest the company's funds as appropriate, based on established and approved authority levels.
- Develop and implement an overall marketing and sales strategy for company products, including pricing and customer service policies and advertising programs. Develop marketing action plans that clearly define objectives, goals, schedules and assignments to implement and achieve targeted opportunities.
- Develop and implement an overall service and support strategy for distributed products, including warranty and post-warranty programs. Establish and monitor technical training programs to ensure quality delivery of service programs.
- Serve as the final authority for employee relations and personnel policies and matters; has ultimate authority (and responsibility) for all hiring/firing decisions, compensation and disciplinary actions.
- Provide recommendations for adding new products / suppliers, and ensure effective and efficient supplier relations and administration.
- Establish and execute programs for the provision of capital required by the business, including negotiating the procurement of capital and maintaining the required financial arrangements. Coordinate with the Board of Management for the raising of funds in the public or private equity markets through an Initial Public Offering (IPO) or private placement.
- Review all agreements concerning financial obligations, such as contracts for products or services and other actions requiring a commitment of financial resources, and present for review/approval within the framework of the approved Chart of Authority.
- Develop and maintain a positive company image and positive relations between the company and the public.
- Provide advice on all matters to the Board of Management and assist the Board of Management in the formulation of overall company objectives.
ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS:
- Directly accountable to the Board of Management and the Chairman for effectively performing all responsibilities.
- Provides reports on all aspects of company performance as requested by the Board of Management.
- Directly supervises managers of the company.
2 Requirements:
- Minimum qualification requirements include a post-graduate degree from an accredited institution in a relevant field
(Business, Engineering, Finance, etc.)
- Have 3 – 5 year experience and work involve in budget management in general (means department budget management).
- Self-directed team leader demonstrating leadership and communication skills, commitment to implementing the goals and objectives
as stated and assigned for advancing the company; a record of progressive leadership experience, preferably in sales and marketing and/or manufacturing.
- Have a long-term commitment to continued professional development.
- International business experience is required (international firms).
- Vietnamese National, Overseas Vietnamese or Foreigner/Expat with Asian/ASEAN experiences is preferred.
