Nationwide electrification is one of the most important programs for the country’s development. It’s an honor for M.E.I Vietnam to take part in the program by providing its services to Pha Lai Thermal Power 2 Project.
Pha Lai Thermal Power Plant is located in Chi Linh district, Hal Duong province, 56 kilometres northeast of Hanoi, on the north side of the National Highway No.l8 and on the left bank of Thai Binh river | |
In the 80s, Pha Lai Thermal Power Plant was recorded as one of the largest power plants in the Northern Vietnam power system with high technico - economic performance.
Expanding and improving its output capacity in order to meet the increasing power demands of the country, the construction of Pha Lai 2 Thermal Power Plant started in June 1998 on the free area of Pha Lai Thermal Power Plant.
M.E.I Vietnam joined this project as a subcontractor for Sumitomo Cooperation in charge of supply and erection work, including erection work, RM concrete supply and procurement services. The contract value was approximately USD4.5 million and was completed in December 2000.

Providing high-tech engineering for manufacturing with modern technology and advanced management of all provided services, M.E.I Vietnam has contributed to the success of the construction project of one of the largest thermal power plants which is well equipped, designed and built to meet international environmental standards.
The project of Pha Lai 2 Thermal Power Plant was completed in the third quarter of 2001, and added substantial capacity to Vietnam’s power system and Pha Lai’s Thermal Power Plant. |
