Participating in Ho Chi Minh City Water Environment Improvement Project, M.E.I Vietnam is contributing to the improvement of living and sanitary conditions for local residents in Ho Chi Minh City

Ho Chi Minh City Water Environment Improvement Project

 

The water environment improvement in Ho Chi Minh City is very urgent and an essential issue to improve the living and sanitary conditions for local people in Ho Chi Minh City.

Thanks to the care of the Vietnam Party and government, since 2005 the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee started the Ho Chi Minh City Water Environment Improvement Project with ODA loans from the Japan Bank for International Cooperation Guidelines (JBIC).


The main contractor of the project is the Japanese JV Nishimatsu - Ebara – Shimizu. The project will mitigate the damage caused by frequent floods and improve the sewage system for better sanitary and living conditions for local residents in Ho Chi Minh City.

Thanks to its experience and prestige, M.E.I Vietnam has been selected to be a sub-contractor for the main contractor of the project, which is the Japanese JV Nishimatsu - Ebara – Shimizu for the project to supply, install and erect services, including concrete pile manufacture and supply, temporary work and, M&E installation work with a contract value of more than USD10 million.
